Are demons even real?

Am I the only one that watched Inuyasha as a child? I still watch it for the feeling of nostalgia because I have free will. The story centers around animal representations of demons; dog demons, fox demons, wolf demons etc

The subject of demons has inspired so many fantasy shows. On one hand we have the shows that romanticise demons and on the other hand, we have shows that make them ugly and evil.

All of these standpoints are fictional.

In an extreme exercise of creative license, writers and film makers have presented various narratives of the demonic. You must know a couple of them, but if you live on the moon, here’s a list

14. Penny dreadful………….and others too numerous to mention

Dark fantasy has also become popular genre for book lovers.

Is this a recommendation??? Nope. But if you read dark fantasy or watch these type of shows, I need you to assimilate the following information;

Demons are real

While the characters are often heavily embellished, you must understand that they are simply dramatic representations of entities that actually exist. There is a spirit realm, and demons are real.

Demons are not human. There is no half demon, half human cute boy in your neighbourhood (I hope not).

There is no demon who is regretting his actions and wishing to be human. Do not mistake entertainment for reality.

Let it sink.

Demons are evil

These shows might be desensitizing you on the negative impact that demons have over the physical world. While I cannot dictate the type of shows you should watch, I must warn you that these shows might deceive you into having sympathy for demons. I must also warn you that some of these shows are inspired by demons themselves, presenting ideas to the writers in dreams and visions.

They are purely interested in preventing you from living in the fullness of God’s purpose in your life, which makes them the opposition.

Demons are not always scary

Demons represented in horror movies and exorcism centered shows are mostly fictional. They are either too ugly or too beautiful, and you need to delete those images when you pray against them.

Real demon attacks are often subtle and usually considered to be natural occurrence by ignorant people.

Lots of people don't believe in demonic attacks because they are waiting for some green eyed monster with horns to show up in their room at midnight. That might never happen. Have you not read that even the devil masquerades as an angel of light?

Rather than see an ugly creature, you might see a demon appearing as a beautiful person or a glorious looking being. If you read up on cults, you will learn that a lot of cult leaders began their ministry on the mandate of some supernatural encounter with a demon, masquerading as an angel of God. Not everything supernatural is from God so ensure to test the spirits.

Demonic attacks are real

You might be surprised how many people are under demonic attack around you; there is also a possibility you might even be under attack yourself. Demonic influence isn't dramatic like filmmakers have tried to make you believe. Demons cannot come at you with swords or superpowers. They are spirits and they operate in secret.

I have met people who were under attack and they thought it was normal human experience.

Exhibit A- a teenager or an adult who still wets the bed, and this happens when they have a dream where they use the bathroom. As they are using the bathroom in the dream, they are wetting the bed physically. This occurs very often and some think it's just a bad behaviour.

Exhibit B- the people who have dreams where they have sexual intercourse with another human or a creature. And they didn't go to bed with intention of doing so. This is not normal.

Exhibit C- do you fall asleep every time you want to pray? Even if you are not tired

Exhibit D- strange addictions to eating things that are not edible eg. paper, sand, human waste

Baby, you can’t be careless. There are so many things happening that you need to start taking seriously. Watch and pray.

Watch and pray. This is how we must operate our lives in 2026 and beyond.

You have authority over demons

If you believe in christ, you should know that our Lord has given us authority over principalities and powers. Jesus Christ is the authority that we need to cast out nosy demons from our lives. Demons bow before our God, did you know that? Take your stand in victory and rebuke any demonic influence in your life!
