It’s so easy to get familiar with our siblings. We start treating our relationship with them as something that can outlive time, while that is correct in a sense, it isn’t necessarily healthy.. because we stop watering the connection we have with them, and it becomes mostly superficial, lacking depth..

there’s a certain “by force” element to family relationships that a lot of people grow weary of as they get older
